Ed & Marguerite

Yesterday evening we met up with Ed & Marguerite for a couples session at Folly Beach. We shot their wedding back in November. One of their wedding images was featured in Charleston Magazine earlier this year. Congrats on married life! We had a blast hanging out!

Here are a few quick favorites….. back to editing :)

This spring seems to be flying by! It just seems like yesterday we were shooting David & Fernanda’s engagement session! We had a blast Saturday with them at their wedding. It was at the Ion Creek Club. The weather was perfect- something that’s been hard to come by lately. Fernanda and her family are from Brazil, so there were lots of cute Brazillian details. Stacey at Red Letter Events coordinated the beautiful event. Congrats!!

We were able to tell David and his twin brother apart….barely

Have a great time in St. Lucia!

Southern Wedding Style

Just received a sweet email from the publisher at Southern Wedding Style Magazine saying we are featured on their blog! Check it out here!!

I’m working on some great images from Saturday, so check back soon!

Yesterday afternoon we made the trip up to Rock Hill for Laura Lea’s bridal session at her parent’s farm. After a few winding dirt roads and wrong turns we finally made it to the ranch where we were amazed to see rolling hills with cattle and golden wheat grass! We definitely understood why she wanted to shoot her bridal there- totally worth the trip!

Special thanks to all our farmhands (aka her sweet dad and sister who helped us move tractors & herd cattle!)

The peanut gallery was relentless :)

a few days later…..

We were really stoked to hear Alec and Justine wanted to do an after session. It’s such a great time and we get to explore and find creative places we may not have time to on the wedding day- like the air force base!

Sorry for the short post, we’re about to head out to Rock Hill for Laura Lea’s bridal on the farm!

Alec & Justine

Saturday we shot the much anticipated wedding of Alec & Justine. They met in the Air Force and chose Charleston for their marriage celebration. We met Justine at the Charleston Place Hotel for some getting ready photos and got a great shot of her on the balcony before leaving for the ceremony. The ceremony was at Divine Redeemer Church in Hanahan. Followed by a reception at the Riviera where everyone was treated to a great dinner with live entertainment. Melissa from A Charleston Bride coordinated all the amazing details. There was lots of great dancing including my favorite, a traditional Tahitian show! Congrats Alec & Justine!!

Sean and Kate’s E-session

Yesterday we went to James Island County Park for Sean and Kate’s E-session. With all the crazy weather we’ve had lately, we were stoked to see the clear sunny skies. The warm sunlight set the mood for some great late afternoon shots. Sean plays in a local baseball league and brought some of his Cub’s gear as props. Also, they brought little Tyson along, who spent most of the time sprinting around the park, the woods, the dock…. pretty much everywhere. Stay tuned for photos from their wedding in June!

After her speech about how terrible of a batter she is, Kate is seconds away from sending this ball into the woods, thus ending our batting practice..

the next day…..

We encourage all our clients to do a day after session. Why not wear that beautiful dress again that you spent so much time finding and money on?

We had a great time with Melody and Mitch yesterday! We had plenty of time to explore the amazing grounds of the Biltmore- I was particularly excited about the tulip festival!!

Mitch and Melody

Friday we packed our bags for the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. We were stoked for Mitch & Melody’s wedding there on Saturday! We made a great connection with them during their e-session and we knew their wedding would be just as fun. The views of the Appalachian mountains were amazing!

We love it when couples decide to see each other before the ceremony. It’s always an intimate time for the couple…. not to mention the opportunity for some great images!

We were blown away by how cool Mitch and Melody are - deciding to go on with the outdoor ceremony even though it was raining! The storms couldn’t keep them from saying their vows:)
