Trashing it… Jackson Pollock Style!
Published July 22nd, 2007 in Trash The DressThe idea for this shoot was born while Rachel was brainstorming ideas one night with her friend, Corin (who happens to love trash the dress sessions). After visiting the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC earlier this month and seeing Jackson Pollock’s work, we were truly inspired and ready to find the right couple for the shoot.
Kris and Leanna were married on June 16th and they were just the couple we were looking for. We know them from Oceanside Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, where Kris plays guitar and Leanna is our community group leader. They are such a young, fun, and energetic couple. They had a blast painting the canvas, the wall, the floor….each other…. By the end of the shoot they had painted each other from head to toe. Great job guys!
Special thanks to Jan Turner from Prudential Carolina (224-6189) for permitting us to use the warehouse space to build our “set.” It turned out to be the perfect spot!

You guys rocked it! Leanna, you were such a trooper- never complaining once about paint in your hair, eyes, veil, dress….. Thanks again, it was a blast!
