Gayle & Greg officially tied the knot Saturday. After Greg’s last deployment he whisked Gayle away on her lunch break to get married months ago. So Saturday was a formal party to celebrate their love. Gayle had the amazing help of Finishing Touch, Yvonne Design, Les Saisons, and Mood. She chose a whimsical butterfly theme with vibrant colors to compliment the gorgeous Lanikuhonua venue. We were blessed with a beautiful day followed by a little bit of rain during the end of their first dance together- how romantic is that?!?

Super laid back e-session from Sunday evening with Gayle & Greg. Sweet little 5′ tall (with heels
) Gayle popped out of the car wearing the cutest dress & necklace from Macy’s! I told them to trust me as we shot by some run down storage containers in front of a bowling alley! And that’s exactly what they did! I couldn’t be happier looking though the images! Here are a few of my favs. Can’t wait to see what fabulousness awaits me on their wedding day next month!

I first met Sue when I taught a yoga class a couple years ago. She would always mention her husband’s art and how I should check it out. I was all like -yeah yeah, everyone thinks they’re an artist or photographer these days. WHOLY COW! His stuff is phenomenal! He has done some amazing work for Sierra Nevada Beer, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, and Williams-Sonoma to name a few. What’s even cooler is Del & Sue are the sweetest most genuine people! We went out to the beach to shoot a few head-shots for his website (so he’s no longer a pineapple
). I also invited Sue along for a few cameo appearances.

my favorite!! rawr!

Wanted to do a quick speed post today about some recent shoots. So hold on to your mouse… here we go!
Meet baby Oliver. He’s the cute offspring of our friends Mike & Carolina! A funny story on why his nursery is monkey themed… Carolina & Mike are both “monkeys” by the Chinese calendar and little Oliver is a “tiger”. Apparently these two have a lot of conflicts, so Carolina decided if she surrounded him with monkeys at an early age maybe it would curb his tiger ways! …and it’s a really cute nursery!

drum roll please…
THE BUS IS PAINTED! for those of you not familiar with this saga, we bought a 1964 VW Bus off craigslist last August. We shipped it to Hawaii sight unseen and, well it wasn’t quite as advertised. So a lot of $$ and hard work from Nick later it’s running & painted!! We call him PJ (cause it used to truly be a piece of junk). Bad news is I learned that PJ’s exhaust pipe heats up to 200° the hard way!

Now on to my good friend Lindsay. She just recently got married and moved to Hawaii with her hubster Chris. He was deployed for the first time this summer and I tagged along for his homecoming. It was so cute to see Lindsay waiting on pins & needles for Chris’s ship to pull in. I thought at any minute she would just jump in the harbor and swim over to him. Luckily she didn’t because her dress wouldn’t have looked near as cute wet!
She also has a fabulous blog about her life, adventures, & home decor projects. Check it out!!

A couple weeks ago one of my besties, Katie, asked me to babysit for one day while she wrapped up a project at work. I happily agreed since Blakely is one of the cutest and happiest babies in the world! After putting on a few diapers backwards I decided to do something I actually know how to do… so I whipped out the camera. I took my sweet B-nugget outside and told her to be fierce! I’m not sure if it’s considered “good” babysitting to put the baby on the ground with grass, bugs, dirt, etc. but I think it was worth it!

This was her reaction to me trying to figure out which way the diaper went!

Sweet dreams Blakely! Can’t wait to watch you grow up!

Here are some images I recently shot for a local fashion magazine. The theme was accessories and it’s crazy how a headband, necklace, belt, or rainbow of watches can make a look so different. Legendary fashion icon André Leon Talley once said ”There are many ways to be fashionable without a lot of money. Pick an accessory, a hat, necklace, cinched belt or handbag. It can be old or new. It’s up to the individual to wear it in their own way.”

Ok, I just had to post this one too! These shots were for a different article & we needed a male model on short notice, so Nick gave us his best blue steel!

I’ve been wanting to do a shoot for a while with my baby dog Jake. Last wednesday was finally the day to go play in the fields. Many thanks to my wonderful hubby for being patient as I explained my concept he needed to shoot exactly as I had envisioned
I’m so excited to get this printed on METAL for our office! (we may start offering these prints to clients) I think it’s a great expression of life and my side-kick Jake who will be 12 this year!

We figured we would capitalize on the situation with a few more pics too…

Jake was tired from all the running back & forth. It’s really hard to get a dog to pose for a camera on timer!
