Jeff & Paulette

Saturday we traveled to Hilton Head Island for Jeff & Paulette’s wedding at the Westin Resort.  Jeff and Paulette traveled all the way from Michigan to exchange their vows. The cloudy skies spit rain minutes before the ceremony, but the storm blew past and we had a great outdoor event.  After the ceremony on the terrace, the party moved to the beach-front pavilion. Linda with Amanda Rose weddings coordinated the event & helped bring the details into reality.  Congrats!!!

Jay + Reye

Saturday, Jay & Reye were married at the Patriot’s Point Links in Mount Pleasant, the same location where they first met. The ceremony and reception were set up to overlook the harbor & the 18th hole of the golf course. Jay & Reye live in Athens and are huge Georgia Bulldog fans….but we won’t hold that against them :) The weather cooled off and felt great at sunset when a live band got the party started under the pavillion. Timeless Designs coordinated the event and created all the awesome details. Congrats!

Sean & Kate

Saturday we had the pleasure of documenting Sean and Kate’s wedding. We had a great time shooting their e-session a few weeks ago and were really looking forward to their wedding. The ceremony was held at the Boone Hall Plantation mansion. The reception was at the nearby cotton dock. We just loved all the purple accents which really tied the event together- even Sean was rockin’ purple socks!

I just love this image from their first dance!

to be continued….

We shot a rockin’ wedding Saturday which I’ll post more of in a day or two once I go through the images, but for now, here’s a sneak peak!

Tripp & Laura Lea

This weekend we traveled to Rock Hill for Tripp and Laura Lea’s wedding. We shot a bridal session with Laura Lea at the family farm earlier this month and were stoked to see the farm on the big day. Great weather was in store for the outdoor event, where everyone mingled and danced while the sun set over the countryside

Before their first dance, Tripp & Laura Lea decided to take a quick breather and soak in all the excitement. A nearby pasture made the perfect setting!

The fire that was raining down on our heads turned out to be worth it for this shot…. :)

We met up with Kate yesterday afternoon at Boone Hall Plantation for her bridal session. She will be getting married in just a couple weeks now! So just in case Sean is on the blog, we can’t show any images of Kate yet…. but I can show you this adorable baby horse that was on the farm! How cute is he?!?! Like most babies, he was running around like crazy and then just passed out. Nick tried whistling and calling him, but he was zonked :)

Paul & Marybeth

Sunday we joined Paul and Marybeth in Hilton Head, SC for their wedding day. Rarely do we get days here where the temperature is not too hot and the humidity is low, Sunday was one of those days! It was an absolutely gorgeous scene at Paul’s parents’ family estate over looking the intracoastal waterway. Marybeth and Paul said their vows on the lawn followed by a cocktail hour at the pool. The party was then moved to a nearby pavilion where guests enjoyed a great dinner and fabulous sunset. Congrats!!

Shaping…

Over the last couple months, my friend Adam and I have been working on shaping a couple new boards in our spare time. We decided to have Dynamic Glass Systems glass the boards since I’ve done my share of inhaling polyester resin fumes…. We got them back from the glasser the other day and were super stoked. I painted some artwork on the 6′1″ fish. Rachel took a few images before we christened the boards.

now all we need is a swell…
